This last weekend we had a great time street pastoring, had some wonderful chats with people and a lot of fun.
The weather was so lovely on Saturday and so after clearing up at home and doing some housework I went for a drive to Edenbridge to collect some bits for work. IOn the way home I stopped in Westerham and had a very enjoyable lunch sitting out by the Green and devoured a fantastic bowl of homemade bacon and lentil soup, which was delicious. I read my book and had a very peaceful afternoon. It was packed there as usual, but a great place to sit and chill.
Later on Cheryl came round and we had some food before heading off to the cinema to see 'Love Happens' which I thought was going to be a soppy romantic feel good factor film but it was actually quite sad, and made us cry more than once! It did have a happy ending though, all was not lost!

Yesterday we had a great day at Church. I was doing creche in the morning and apparently missed a blinder of a sermon, the start of a new series on Psalms, I can't wait to listen to the recording. Malc & Shell came for lunch and we had a great afternoon with them. Back to church for the evening and another brilliant service.

We were reminded again of our identity in Christ, this is something that still blows me away and overwhelms we whenever I think of it. The book I have just started reading this week reminded me again of the same thing.
We were also asked the question 'what does our salvation mean to us?' and to think of three answers. It is so hard to narrow it down to three.  It's fantastic to know that even though I'm a useless wretched sinner and always will be, Christ's death on the cross means that I can stand before God cleansed and sinless; I am part of God's family, chosen by Him, and belong to Christ and many others too; I know that God has a plan and purpose for my life and I have a reason for being. All such amazing facts and truths and a real joy to comprehend, as well knowing that I can look forward to a glorious future spent with God forever.
How awesome is that?
