Well, we were not disappointed!

I had a great weekend basking in the love, glory, power, radiance and presence of God at the Radiant Women’s Conference in Eastbourne. The four different seminars I attended were entitled ‘Give yourself away – imitating Jesus’ servant heart’, ‘How to be a woman of blessing’, ‘Empowered by the Holy Spirit’ and ‘Discovering the Bible anew’. We had four awe inspiring worship sessions led by Lou Fellingham and Phatfish, who totally took us into the presence of God, encountering Him and the Holy Spirit. The singing was fantastic, some songs new and some old, and old ones to new tunes, some great testimonies to God’s goodness and faithfulness in different people’s lives and circumstances, and four great and encouraging Bible messages. We also stayed for the late night acoustic café, where Lou did a few songs and so too did Nia. Another great time of blessing through song and testimony. So encouraging and uplifting.

All so different to our type of service at Church, yet so thrilling and so inspirational. 450 ladies all together learning from one another, sharing together, praying for one another, worshipping our God together is truly a joy to behold and a real privilege that God has given us to enjoy. Praise Him!

Many of the ladies there possibly have no support network, may come from small and struggling churches, many I guess are leader’s wives who perhaps don’t get the pastoral help that they need and desire, so it truly was a joy to see so many ladies from all areas of life and service being fed and watered in the Word of God.

It also made me realise that there are many things in life that we have to struggle with as women, sickness, divorce, abuse, infertility, motherhood, depression, money worries, caring for parents and so many many more. There are so many people really hurting and in such pain, yet there is just one remedy for all, JESUS. He who can help us all whatever we are going through, whatever tough and trying situations we find ourselves in, He is the answer.  That same Jesus is the answer for us as Christians and also all those that are outside of the Church, those on the streets, those in the hostels, those in the prisons, those who just choose to go about their daily lives choosing to live without Him, whether going through good times or bad. How we as the Church need to rise up and go and meet these people where they are, enter into their circumstances and lives and share this wonderful free gift that we have with them, the gift of Jesus, His love, grace and compassion. He really is the answer to all our needs.
