I spent all yesterday excited about the prospect of going along to the Bible Study at Church last night. It was on Ephesians which is my favourite book, and looking at Chapter 3. I cannot believe how God uses His Word to really get our attention and draw us in. It's so amazing, literally everything I have read and heard in the last three months or so is being repeated over and over again, 3 maybe 4 times. Whatever book I am reading, whatever verses of the Bible I read, whatever sermon or podcast I listen to, whatever church or setting it's in. I haven't just heard things once and enjoyed them once but had everything completely in stereo and more besides, in real high definition quality. It's good to have things repeated once for clarification, but twice, thrice and more is just total reinforcement and confirmation. Really exciting stuff and thrilling to the ears and heart especially when it's talking of God's promises and goodness etc, but I need to also take on board those things that He repeats that need actioning and putting into practice in my life that He draws my attention to over and over again. Maybe it's because I am so slow to learn and catch on to all these truths, maybe it's because He is such a wonderful God that He likes to thrill us and captivate us over and over again and is just immensely patient when we don't respond accordingly. I like to think it's both those, yes, I'm slow and not always with it but He is all patient, all loving, all giving, all merciful and all thrilling to the soul. Praise God!
