The weather improved a little so we went for drive to Villedieu-les-Poeles, a very quaint lovely and attractive village not far from us. Villedieu-les-Poeles was well known for its copper and they used to produce lots of saucepans and pots etc there, it apparently means 'God of the Pans'!
Anyway, we wandered around but had got there just as everything was shutting, typical of us! Still, we had a delicious Croque Monsier (Madame for John, he likes his eggs!), chips and a beer followed by coffee and hot chocolate. On the way home we stopped in Tessy Sur Vire to look in the notaire’s window to see if we could see the house for sale's details. We didn't quite pluck up the courage to go in and ask for a viewing after all! John went and looked around the garden and the back of the house though while I waited in the car. We watched some silly film called Hijack, it was pants!
