Well, we had a great time in the Lake District as always.
We went to Penrith Methodist Church on Easter Sunday and had a good time there. The weather on the Sunday afternoon was really warm and we went for a walk, several of us giving up and returning to the house at different intervals, only Malcolm & Hamish carrying on to the end of what was supposed to be a lovely view at the top of a small hill! I'll say no more.
On Bank Holiday Monday we went to Windermere and went out on a motor boat for an hour and had a fun time.
The weather was great all week and the boys got lots of climbing in and also played about on John's kite buggy down the hills without the kite, some melting their trousers, others having OBE's (outer buggy experiences) and others getting cuts and grazes to arms and elbows! I'm glad in a way that they aren't growing up too quickly - it makes for lots of fun!!
It was lovely to spend time together with friends in a peaceful, quite environment set in the middle of some fantastic views, surrounded by God's wondeful creation. We had some great times of sharing and fellowship and the week was over all too quick!!
