Had a great night street pastoring on Friday and a lovely afternoon in London on Saturday. Cheryl and I visited the Open Day of London City Mission where a friend of ours is a missionary for a year. She works at Departure in Lime House, an art cafe. It was great to see where she is based and works and will make reading the newsletters that she sends out much more visual and real now. Saturday night we watched the X-factor and had some scrummy grub courtesy of Hamish. John and Hamish climbed at Harrison Rocks and had a great afternoon as the weather was suprisingly fantastic!
We had an email from Kelly to say she was having a good time in Uganda, although she was unsuprisingly shocked by the difference in cultures. She'll love it and come back with very different perspectives on life I'm sure. She has been to some botanical gardens where monkeys were swinging around, just up her street!!
Sunday was our Harvest Family Service in Church and another great time of fellowship and teaching at the frugal lunch afterwards. It's good to be together and share what's going on in our lives and encourage one another. God seems to be really blessing us at the minute and sending great encouragements.
