Had a nice day off on Friday preparing for Saturday's big event - Kelly's Uganda night. We got quite ahead of ourselves and decided to go to the cinema in the evening to watch Tropic Thunder with Cheryl & Hamish - what a waste of time! How pants was that film? A load of old rubbish I have to say. It was definately a guys film - John actually enjoyed it and thought that without the excessive swearing it would have been really good. Umm!

Saturday was full on, getting lots ready for the evening. There were 67 people in all, lots of church friends and lots of Kelly's friends. Amy popped in for a while too which was nice. Everyone appeared to have a great time, it was really enjoyable, the meal seemed to go down well, Kelly spoke well while doing her presentation bit and the auction was fantastic, real good fun and it did the job. The whole evening raised an amazing amount of approximately £2350. All her costs are now covered - what an amazing God we serve! We certainly have a great group of friends who are right behind Kelly for which we praise God.

We had a great evening service last night - the young people led it. It's good to see them all finding their feet and getting more comfortable with taking part and being involved and growing in their faith - a real encouragement. We have seen several new faces repeatedly over the last couple of months, it's fantastic - God is at work amongst us and building his church!
