Well, I got in, had my dinner and went into attack mode. I battled with half the pile of filing, I threw away so much stuff, well put it out for recycling. Why do we hoard so much rubbish that's clearly not needed? Why don't I just throw things away as and when they come through the door if they are not needed? I must learn to do just that!

John called to say that they got there OK and were rather knackered after unloading everything and No, they hadn't been stopped by customs!!!  Praise God for that.

I went to the ladies meeting at Maggie's house. It was announced in the notices on Sunday as a 'Ladies Catch Up night'. John looked at me and said 'What's that?' Well, we just took the opportunity to get together and catch up with all that's been going on in our lives and that of the church over the summer weeks. It was very enjoyable hearing about all that various people have done, things to be thankful for, things that worry us and things that we have to look forward to at the start of a new term both at school and within the church. A fantastic time just to share and encourage each other and bring all these things to God in prayer. A very valuable evening!!
