Well now, I cycled to work on Thursday morning and got thoroughly lost in the park, I ended up in the woods and got well and truly lost in there too, and I carried the bike over three railway footbridges. It took me just over an hour, I was knackered, sweaty, late and cheesed off by the time I got there very red faced and out of breath.    Was it worth it, I asked myself - all in the vein of getting fit and green!? I cycled back again, still got lost, had a brush with some stinging nettles, and still had to lift the jolly bike up and down six flights of stairs! I tried telling myself whilst enduring the pain, that maybe I could become a heptathlete, and I kept repeating the phrase I have heard so often from John, 'No pain, no gain', none of that helped.

Anyhow, Didi and Fiona thought it highly hilarious and decided I needed assistance, they printed me off a foolproof, well signposted map with my route through the park marked quite clearly, even showing the wrong route that I had previously taken, marked in red and saying 'Don't go there again!' kind of thing! Thanks Guys!

Armed with said map, I ventured out on Friday morning - I followed the correct route and actually enjoyed the ride. 25 minutes door to door - not bad! I could quite enjoy this getting fit lark after all. The homeward journey was good too, although an additional 5 minutes, it was Friday afternoon after all, and after a week's work - well!

I am aiming to do that at least 3 days this next week.
