Amy popped in for a while on Friday night, it was good to see her and I'm confident that God has plans for her future and am content knowing that He is working them out.

We went to Crawley for the Phatfish concert and worship evening on Saturday which was excellent. It was great at last to get Kelly along, I've been wanting her to see Lou Fellingham in action for ages - to inspire her as Kelly has a great voice and needs to use it more! The sound was a bit dodgy for some of the evening but knowing the words helped a lot! The second part, the worship time was fantatstic and a real opportunity to engage with God and experience his presence and glory. I particularly enjoyed the song 'There is a day' live, it was the first time I'd sung that one corporately and it was fantastic.

We had a visiting speaker on Sunday at Church, both morning and evening. A real encouragement to me was the reminder that God is a Father to the fatherless and that he compensates in all areas of our lives. I was reminded again of Ephesians 1v4-5 which says that Christ chose us in him before the creation of the world and adopts us into His family, and therefore knows all about us and our individuality, a real intimate Father. The evening was good too, a reminder to us all about being part of the body, the body of Christ - all having a part to play, using different God-given attributes, skills, gifts and talents for God's glory. A reminder that we are not to go it alone, we are to work together, and not to do things for our own satisfaction, being patient.

Basically, a good couple of days experiencing God and learning more about Him. Great weather as well, which enabled us all to sit out all Sunday afternoon after lunch and catch the sun's rays - some more than others!
