It certainly is a lovely place. I didn't really notice the doors the first time I went either, but there are many to choose from.

What I noticed was the high water marks in the car park, such as to make me drive back towrds the way we came in.
I just love the mediaeval streets. That climb, on cobbled stones to the santuary at the top is just awesome. We take all our 'guests' to Mont St Michel and the Bayeux Tapestry. Latterly we have include Falaise and, one of my favourites, the Velorail at Pont Erambourg (http://pagesperso-orange.fr/velorails/)___##0##___ If you get a chance view MSM on Google Earth, it is well worth it!

Lovely

There's a book somewhere filled with photos of doorbells in an Italian town... or maybe I made that up, I don't remember!
Anyway, I have a thing for windows - see my tags for proof

Do you know I never gave the doors a thought really, what a brilliant perspective! I just love Mont St Michel, obviously been walking around with my eyes closed during the visits.
