Glorious Morning

by RacyTracy @ 2008-05-12 - 08:46:13

Well, it was a fantastic start to the day. Glorious sunshine and a very pleasant walk to and from the station to work, listening to a brilliant compilation/melody by Robin Mark that lifted my spirit and left me feeling totally renewed and ready for the day and all it offers.

Amazing Grace/No Not By Might/Are You Washed?

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.

No, not by might, nor even power,
But by your spirit O Lord.
Healer of hearts, Binder of wounds,
Lives that are lost, restore
Flow through this land, Till every man
Praises Your name once more.

No, not by might, nor even power,
But by your spirit O Lord.
Healer of hearts, Binder of wounds,
Lives that are lost, restore
Flow through this land, Till every man
Praises Your name once more.

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the lamb?
Are your garments spotless, are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the lamb?
Are your garments spotless, are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

When I think of that song I can only hear the awful durge of bagpipes. I suppose one persons' uplifting song will inevitably be another persons' 'run screamimg from the room' song. :)
